What is a suggestion?
On Gnommie, a “suggestion” is a normal/plain submission. By
default, if a user does not choose any of the other submission formats, i.e. Question, Poll, Discussion, Review, then all submissions are automatically submitted to Gnommie as a “suggestion”. This way, Gnommie users recommend the content they discovered on the Web and beyond to the rest of the Gnommie community to discover, potentially vote and to express their opinion.
“Suggestions” serve for users to discover and express their opinion on content that they would have not otherwise come across had they not have been Gnommie users. Once discovered, users may choose to re-submit the content in a different format.
On the other hand, whilst most submission formats can be re-submitted in another “Related Content” format, the “Suggestion” submission format is the only format that cannot be used in “Related Content” submissions. For example, a question cannot be re-submitted as a suggestion. Please check out the below “Related Content” matrix of combinations on submissions for easier reference.
