What’s the meaning of “time span”?

By definition, “time span” means “a length or period of time”.

On Gnommie, users can choose to apply a “time span” of 24hrs, 3 days or 1 week to their submission, to alarm other users of the urgency to receive their opinion.

Note: applying a “time span” to a submission does not affect its status. For example, applying a “time span” of 3 days to a Poll does not mean that the Poll will “close” after 3 days. Instead, it means that the user that submitted the Poll would “appreciate/like” users to submit their opinion within the given time span.
