What happens when I vote down/against a submission?

When you give a submission a negative rating (i.e. vote
down/against), no votes are deducted and you are given an option to mark the submission as spam, duplicate, lame, inaccurate, or submitted to the wrong topic.

Note: the submission will still be viewable by the Gnommie Community. However, voting down/against a submission is one of the factors that the Gnommie algorithm takes into consideration when promoting a submission to “Popular”, the Gnommie homepage.
